In Centerfold Gaming, you'll probably encounter combat with firearms at least once or twice. When it comes to combat, there is no rolling for firearm damage or the damage you receive from a firearm. It's all handled simply by the damage done from the gun, and the damage threshold of your armor.
What is Damage Threshold?
Damage Threshold or DT for short, is the maximum protective capability of your armor. It'll simply be a number that determines if you get damaged or not. DT has a maximum limit and lowers for each shot you take from a firearm. Once DT runs out, you need to repair your armor otherwise all further damage will go straight to your Health Points, or HP.
The way DT works is that you take the Damage of a Caliber and compare it to the DT of your armor. If the DT is higher than the Damage, then the Damage is halved and goes straight to your DT, not touching your HP. If the Damage is higher than the DT, than you suffer however many points higher it is, plus half the Damage value to your DT. For example-
Damage of 6 hits DT of 8. HP takes 0 Damage and DT takes 3 Damage, reducing DT to 5.
Damage of 6 hits DT of 5. HP takes 1 Damage and DT takes 3 Damage, reducing DT to 2.
Damage of 6 hits DT of 2. HP takes 4 Damage and DT takes 3 Damage, reducing DT to 0.
Damage of 6 hits DT of 0. HP takes 6 Damage.
